Realizing how much technology can help improve the workflow in an office and increase productivity is key for us at iDeal Realty & Management. That is why I want to dedicate this post to some of the technology that we are using.
AppFolio:
AppFolio is the leader in web based property management software. This intuitive product will help us be more productive by giving our team the resources it need to effectively manage our properties. Built into AppFolio's software is a owners portal that will give property owners snapshots of their accounts and let them see what is going on with each of their properties. They also have a Tenant portal which will allow renters to pay rent online as well as allows them to submit maintenance requests online 24/7.
Apple Products:
Apple has been an innovative company since Steve Jobs took over as CEO. Apple is leading the way in computing and finally people are starting to realize this. I have personally been using Apple computes exclusively for the past 6 years and decided that the best way to make and efficient office is to supply it with the operating system I know best. Apple iPad's are also a key technology for our staff. iPad's allow our staff to be out in the field when necessary but still able to access all the information that they need. This has greatly improved communication and response to our clients.
Qr Codes:
The next big breakthrough in technology is the advent of qr codes. If you do not know what these are, they are the bar code looking squares that you can scan with your smart phone to get addition information. We use these codes in a number of different ways. First off all of our teams business cards have a qr code in the corner, which when scanned will automatically create a contact in your phone. We also use qr codes on all our our signs, which when scanned will pull up a information sheet on that property showing all the details that you would normally have to call the office to get (you will even get photos!).
